POP Porridge initially launched in 2020 and is relaunching in December 2022. POP Porridge is a personalised food product launched by The POP FOOD Co, and its founder Rachel Eva Elaine Garwood is a University of Leeds law graduate. POP is an acronym for The Power of Personalisation.
During the past 22 years, Rachel has amassed a wealth business development and product management experience which spans SaaS, e-commerce, mobile applications, retail, law, consultancy, edtech, sales, IT, and engineering. Her first job was as a Saturday Sales Assistant selling food and drinks at a popular national bakery chain in the West Midlands. She also has a Level 2 Food Hygiene Training issued by The Nationwide Caterers Association.
In 2013, Rachel launched an online food website which was in operation for eight years. She has a passion for developing products and has launched and developed numerous websites, java and python applications and a Virtual Reality application.
She has a very keen interest in plant based nutrition, health, fitness and wellbeing and as a result launched an online personalised vegan food business.
